The Pan-Chian Cultural Association of Merchant Navy Officers commemorated its 50th anniversary at the Chios Maritime Museum. Celebrating half a century of service, contribution and dedication to Greek shipping and the community of Chios.
Since its founding in 1975, the Association has stood by merchant navy officers, championing cultural heritage, solidarity and education. Over the years, it has honoured individuals who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to shipping, education and society.
Notably, the Association takes an active part in commemorative events, such as the Memorial Service for the merchant seamen lost during World War II, 1939–1945, paying tribute to their sacrifice and service.
This milestone celebration marked not only the Association’s fifty-year journey, but also its vision for the future. PESAEN remains true to its mission: to unite, educate and advance Greek shipping with respect, responsibility and solidarity.
